On Earth As It Is In Heaven
We approach the arrival of Emmanuel, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Prince of Peace.
Peace. On Earth as it is in Heaven. May this be our prayer.
We find peace through Him now, as we always have and always will. And now, we celebrate this Humble Miracle, of the day Heaven touched Earth, as the Son of Heaven came to our presence, to walk with us in the world He created. To know our joy, our hardships, our pain, and our hope.
But how do we make ready the way of the Lord? Do we fill our homes with signs, with lights, with gifts... Well, we certainly can celebrate and sing of the goodness of God! Rejoice! Again, we say rejoice! For God is with us! But our Savior was born in a manger, humbly He came, and so, we must prepare our hearts, not just our homes. We must seek humbly His mercy and grace, that we may be worthy again of His presence, in us and with us.
Throughout this and every season, peace is found through our Lord, by the gift of faith and our relationship with Him and to the Father, by movement of the Holy Spirit.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” - Philippians 4:6-7
As we prepare our hearts for the coming of the Lord this Advent season, let us be reminded that His peace be with us during every season when we walk with Him, for it is through Him that peace is found. So may we seek peace through Christ, by means of talking with Him, communion with Him, praise before Him.
All this said, the best part of it all is that He wants this for us! He wants to be with us, to walk with us, to know us! And so we have hope, and joy, for the Love and Peace of the Lord that is to come. So we rejoice and praise the name of our Prince of Peace! With thanksgiving and gratitude to the Father. Hallelujah! Thank You, God.
